"Chronicles of Upper Burnet" (1)

1881

Tuesday, March 29th.

The rain kept on till sometime in the night when it turned
to snow and this morning it was four inches in depth and
continued to come all day, without however getting much more
down. Nothing of much importance was done here. We sat in
the house and hoped for better times. John Kivett was here
most of the afternoon. He had been in the camp, turned the
water out of the buckets and set them up in expectation of sap.
