"Chronicles of Upper Burnet" (1)

1881

Sunday, March 20th

I suffered with pain in the face so last night that I did not
go upstairs to bed till after twelve o'clock but I slept soundly
from that time till morning. The snow fell all night or apparĀ
ently did. It was an inch or so deep this morning, and dribbled
down all day but thawed off faster than it came Nobody got
very far from the house to-day. I did not suffer any to-day from
neuralgia

Teaching note: It is likely that William's "pain in the face" was an impaction or abscess...
neither good... and both could lead to very serious health issues.
