"Chronicles of Upper Burnet" (1)
1881
Thursday, March 3rd.
There was a thunder-storm up north for a part of the night
and this morning there began a series of snow squalls accomÂ
panied by wind which lasted all day with but small intermisÂ
sions. The sun looked forth once or twice for very brief periods.
Nothing could be done or was done besides the chores. Father I
believe made one trip to the big-road and back and I began a
letter to Mr. John Harmon one of Charlie's cronies formerly.
We carried the other hive of bees down cellar My old tooth is
hurting again. Selah!
